Next generation of leaders urged to uphold self-governing skills

The Deputy Governor Bank of Uganda Michael Atingi Ego has stressed the need for the next generation of corporate leaders to be open to learning and seek mentors while fronting humility in the daily duties in a bid to foster stability, transparency and effective decision making.

Atingi Ego was speaking during the grand finale of the Journey to the Boardroom in Kampala where outgoing cohorts were tasked to avoid being self-serving rather to the companies needs to thrive.

For the last decades corporate leadership has been evolving with a large part of this is because conducting a shift in workforce dynamics and evolving consumer engagement patterns.

While speaking at the Journey to the Boardroom grand finale, the Deputy Governor Bank of Uganda, Michael Atingi Ego urged the next incoming generation leaders to avoid being self-serving and seek mentors to safe guard their reputation.

“If you to be good leaders to the boardroom, seek for mentors, be humble and open to learning,” Atingi Ego said.

He  challenged the next generation of leaders to uphold self-governance skills as a foundation to resilient companies through championing integrity and being culture centricity

The British High Commissioner to Uganda Kate Airey noted that the next generation of leaders should avoid being self-centered and focus on the company growth.
